Frequently asked questions

How do I download a video from X (Twitter)?

Open the Twitter/X video tab, paste the link of a public post that contains a video and press Get video. Choose a quality and press Download. If a download is refused, use the Direct link button.

Does the Facebook video downloader work with private videos?

No. Only public videos work. Private videos and videos that need a login cannot be read.

Is there a YouTube downloader?

A YouTube MP4 downloader is coming soon to this site.

Is KSP Highlights free?

Yes. You can capture as many frames as you like without an account or a watermark.

Is my video uploaded anywhere?

No. The frame extractor and the video to text tool open and process your video inside your own browser, so the file never leaves your device. The downloader tabs fetch public videos through our server.

Which video formats work?

MP4, WebM and most MOV files that your browser can play. If the video plays in your browser, you can capture frames from it. A few formats, such as some MKV or HEVC files, may not play in every browser.

What size will the saved images be?

You choose the width in pixels, and the height follows the video’s shape. Enter 0 to keep the original size of the video.

Can I capture many frames at once?

Yes. Auto snap takes a picture at regular steps, for example every 10% of the video or every 5 seconds, and shows them all in a gallery.

Can I capture frames from a video link?

Only from a direct link to a video file whose host allows it. Links to video-sharing pages do not work. If a link fails, save the file and load it with Video from file.
